Surgery is only indicated when these treatment options have not or will not work. Dr. Carlson is experienced in treating complex and simple hand and elbow conditions with and without surgery. He reviews all of the options with patients before recommending a treatment plan.

Therapy is even more important following many specialized hand and elbow surgeries than surgery at other joints in the body. This is due to the delicate balance in the hand and elbow between motion and stability.
